What is PE film?
PE is the abbreviation for polyethylene. Therefore, plastic films made of polyethylene are called PE films for short. PE film is used as a cover or packaging of any kind of materials to protect them from damage, moisture and dust. Film packaging is suitable for small parts as well as for large machines. PE film is also indispensable as a protective cover for food. We can supply you with film from rolls for further processing by machines as well as ready-made products such as bags, hoods and carrier bags.

What are the different PE films available at INFOLIO?

1. PE films by application
Covering foils/ construction foils
Masking films are indispensable, especially in the construction industry. In this area, more and more films made from recycled material are gaining acceptance. We also offer custom-fit cover films for industrial warehousing, horticulture, agriculture and the event industry. On request with UV stabilizer additive for protection against sunlight.
Packaging films
We supply packaging films on the roll - for example as tubular film, flat film, gusseted tubular film or half-tubular film. The films are ideal for bundling and packaging products for storage, transport and sale. With us, you will receive roll goods exactly matching your packaging machines at a favorable price.
Food films
PE films are physiologically safe and therefore ideal for packaging food. Fruit and vegetables, for example, stay fresh longer with the help of shrink film. Transparent PE film has the advantage that the customer can check the goods before purchase without having to open the packaging. It is also possible to shrink-wrap most food films.
2. PE films by material: LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE and MDPE
PE films can be differentiated according to material properties and density. We and our partners manufacture a large part of our films from LDPE and LLDPE. Low density polyethylene (LDPE) films have high flexibility. LLDPE is a linear LDPE with low density, which is characterized by high stretchability and impact strength. We also offer HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) films, which have particularly high stability, and MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) films, which combine the material properties of LDPE and HDPE. We will be happy to advise you on which film material is best suited for your application.
3. PE films by type
Tubular film
Tubular films are produced by blown film extrusion and can be easily welded into precisely fitting bags or sacks. Delivery is made on small rolls or on large rolls.
Semi-tubular film
Semi-tubular films are tubular films cut open on one side and are particularly suitable for machine processing.
Flat film
Flat films are created by cutting a tubular film. We are happy to implement individual thicknesses and dimensions for you.
Shrink film
We can provide you with shrink films according to your needs. With it you protect your pallets or products. Often shrink films are needled to allow the air to escape.
4. PE film after processing
Printed film
With an individual imprint on the foil packaging, you can declare the goods and give them an attractive appearance. Use the foil for your advertising.
Color foil
We are happy to dye our films for you in the color of your choice. Common variants are: PE film black, PE film brown, PE film blue, PE film red, PE film green and PE film gray.
Recycled film
Our films made from recycled material, so-called reclaim, are particularly cost-effective. They are ideal for the construction industry, for example.
UV resistant film
